Is this suitable for children?

Yes! Children aged 7 and up find the "dough kneading" and "stick rolling" process incredibly fun—it's like playing with natural, fragrant play-dough. It’s a wonderful educational experience for families.

I have a sensitive nose. Will the smoke be too much?

Because we use only pure plant powders and no synthetic chemicals or charcoal, the scent is much softer and "cleaner" than what you find in shops. Most people with sensitivities find our natural incense very pleasant.

How long does it take for the incense to dry?

Your incense will be slightly damp when you leave. It needs about 24–48 hours of drying in a shaded, airy place before it is ready to burn. We provide a safe way for you to transport them back to your hotel.

Can I make my own custom scent?

Absolutely. We have a variety of "Base" and "Heart" powders available. You can choose to make yours woody (sandalwood/cinnamon), floral (jasmine/frangipani), or earthy (herbal).

Unlike commercial incense that often uses synthetic perfumes and charcoal, our workshop focuses on 100% natural, plant-based ingredients. Guided by our local artisans, you will learn the “Scent Pyramid”—blending aromatic wood bases, fragrant heart notes, and natural binders.

This is a meditative, hands-on journey where you will knead the dough, hand-roll your own sticks, and mold sacred cones. You aren’t just making a product; you are learning a spiritual skill that has been a daily necessity in Balinese Hindu culture for over a thousand years.

Under the patient, friendly guidance of our local master artisans, you will transform a raw piece of pure silver into a unique treasure—whether it’s a custom ring, a beautiful pendant, or a pair of earrings. No prior jewelry-making experience is needed, only your curiosity and enthusiasm!

Your journey begins with a refreshing welcome drink at our family compound. We’ll sit in the shade of our traditional pavilion as we share the fascinating history of how incense arrived in Bali and why it became the essential heartbeat of our spiritual life.

The Garden Walk :

Harvesting Aromatic Bases

We’ll take a short walk through our organic garden to see where our ingredients come from. You’ll touch and smell the sandalwood, cinnamon, and medicinal herbs that form the "Base" and "Heart" of your custom incense blend.

The Alchemist's Lab :

Blending Your Scent

Back at the workshop, it’s time to find your signature scent. You will choose your wood base (foundation), your floral or spice heart (emotion), and your natural resin (binder). We use no charcoal—only pure, sun-dried plant materials.

Hands-On :

Mixing & Kneading

Using only your hands and a little water, you will mix the raw powders into a fragrant dough. This is a meditative process where you "infuse" your incense with your own positive intentions.

The Master's Technique :

Rolling & Molding

This is the fun part! Our artisans will show you the professional way to hand-roll the dough onto bamboo sticks. You will also learn how to mold "Temple Cones." We’ll even show you how to decorate your sticks with natural lines and patterns.
